It has always been a very ardent topic to wite about but then i think i can let out my anger through this......HAAD ho gai hai abb to when are we going to grow up...???
For us its is a part of daily new to hear or read a new that someone got raped or pushed into human trafficking, we have digested the fact that it a normal news and a part of everyday bad news. WAKE UP it is not a news to be digested you should be having food poisoning with such a news in your stomach.....you think it is not going to effect you?? you are foolish to think that, ever thought what can happen when your mother, sister, girlfriend, friend when ever she is travelling alone to school, to college, to office or anywhere?? you cannot be with them all the time(pardon me for getting personal but i suffer from fits of anger when i come aroung such news). People who are responsible for such horrid crimes live among us we know many of them and they are hidden among us.....starting from the first person you ignored who was teasing a girl in the bus you were in and the one who was bieng too much comfortable with a lady in the metro due to the rush or the one who was too much bold to care for people around him when is is leering and passing comments to a girl. They all are among us and we just let them go and they are ones commiting crime when they become too confident that they own everyone. Its time to throw them out of our society don't tolerate these, be a man and oppose them. There are times i agree you will get no support but stand your ground you are not wrong and among many you have the guts to stand. I have seen guys who are just as ordinay wearing a shirt and and old pant standing against such nuisance and guys who are well bulit and appear to have a money and status running away from such happenings....what i mean is if you have it in you fight for a reason. All i can hope for now is for a better society and people who are not just existing but living.
""Sunitha Krishnan has dedicated her life to rescuing women and children from sex slavery, a multimilion-dollar global market. In this courageous talk, she tells three powerful stories, as well as her own, and calls for a more humane approach to helping these young victims rebuild their lives.""
I came accross this video from a friends blog....i was so much moved tho see this video that it forced me to write this. Guess we still have a few good people having will power who are trying to make this world a better place for women and for all....just try and BE ONE OF THEM.
Its a very inspiring video... hats off to the courage of the lady.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, good people are there but unfortunately most of them are silent... we should get them to speak and act while doing the same ourselves!
