Our national animal is fighting for its life.
From around 40,000 at the turn of the last century, there are just 1411 tigers left in India.
If we don’t act now, we could lose this part of our heritage forever.
Speak up, blog, share the concern, stay informed… Every little bit helps.
Today only I saw an add by Aircell to save the tigers of our country. The add has shown a very cute little cub waiting for his mother to return. It made my heart melt. And also I was astonished to know that only 1411 of tigers are left. Apart from being the nationl animal, tigers have a lot to do with the ecosystem as well as the food chain. Left alone all other reasons the biggest reason is to save another species form extinction from indian soil. I cannot think of a discovery showcase or a national geographic episode on wildlife without tigers in it. Tigers give the wildlife the natural environment of wildness. They hunt, they roar, they are feared by all other animals....if they are gone it will be a terrible loss for the jungles as well as for us too.
Trying my way to spread the messgae. "SAVE TIGERS" Like the add says read about them gain information how you can help in your own way, use blogs, twitter, facebook, orkut anything you can and spread the message that one valuable species is on the verge of extinction and only few are left. Hope our roar goes a long way to save our wild friends.
ADD TO THE ROAR...rrrrrr...rrrr....rrrrrrr.
